Updates regarding quiz and midterm
Hi Class!
So it's been brought to my attention that some students do not have the book for my course. If you do not have the book for this course, I advise that you either rent the book from amazon for about $40.00 or that you copy the chapters of the book from your follow classmates. It is you responsibility to make sure you get the text book for this course because it is a requirement, it is also a requirement that you come to class prepared and haven read the chapter prior to coming to class, it is also your responsibility to take notes on the lecture and ask any questions during the class regarding to the lecture and anything pertaining to the course.
Please note that when there is an open book and open lecture note quiz, I will not be posting a Study Guide prior to the quiz, I will post the study guide after the quiz so that you can prepare for the final and midterm. During our class meeting I will tell you what you should study on a quiz-this is why it is extremely important that you come to class every class session (unless there is an emergency) and you should be on time and stay the entire class so that you will not miss any information given during the class.
-A few words about the midterm
If I decide to make the midterm and/or the final exam open book, I will post a study guide-not my lecture notes, advising you of what to study. The midterm for sure will be about 50 questions worth 2 points each, which mean your midterm is worth 100 points. Most likely there will be a chapter review the week before the midterm, meaning that on the day of the midterm you will have the whole 3 hours to complete the test. More information and details on the midterm will be discuss in the next couple of weeks of class.
